Onions:

Indian / Bombay Onions are known world over for its pungency taste and thus considered the best in the world. Onion (Allium cepa) is one of the important commercial vegetable crops grown in India .It is widely grown in different parts of the country mainly by small & marginal farmers. It is used as salad or cooked in various ways in all curries, fried, boiled or baked. It is also used in processed forms e.g. flakes, powder paste, pickles etc.

It has very good medicinal value. Nutritive value of onion varies from variety to variety. Its major value is in its flavour. Onion ranks medium in calorific value, low in protein and very low in vitamins.
 
 

Potato:

Potato are one of the most important crops of the world, ranking next only to rice, wheat and maize. Potato assumes greater significance for its ability to provide food security to millions of people across the globe, as it provides more dry-matter content, proteins and calories from per unit area of land and time. Potato is a wholesome food which is rich in carbohydrates, proteins, minerals and vitamins. It is a rich source of potassium and therefore, very good for patients suffering from heart ailments.

Potato is one of the most popular crops grown in almost all the states. India is fifth largest producer of potato with a production of 25 million tonnes from 1.34 million hectares. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh , Assam , Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat and Haryana are major producing states.

 
 

Longan:

Longan contains several vitamins and minerals, including iron, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium, and large amounts of vitamins A and C. In traditional Chinese medicine, longan is considered-to have a sweet taste and warm energy, and is associated with the Heart and Spleen meridians.

It is used to relieve rapid heartbeat, insomnia, forgetfulness and anxiety associated with blood and qi deficiency. Combined with other herbs such as ganoderma and spirit poria, longan promotes tranquility and calms the spirit. It also increases physical stamina.
